This call is named after my first hunting dog Mox that I lost. The day Mox picked up his first mallards was the day I started figuring out how a cutdown can bring the birds in. The first mallards Mox picked up was out of a group of 60-70 plus mallards that I sat down on the water. These birds worked from sky high with loud barks till their feet hit the water with all the soft quacks. At the time one of the calls I enjoyed for years was a LA Cut call and I’ve worked to perfect one of my own for over 2 years now. A LA Cut has always been a super versatile call in my opinion from top to bottom. It offers a bit more raspier top end than the OG Cut and a hair more back pressure. This call is still very easy to blow.
